What really causes the heading to change in a turn?  If you only bank an aircraft and maintain the AOA (you will descend), what then is causing the heading to change?  Does the vertical fin as the horizontal component of lift pulls the plane, create lft and cause the heading to change?  Or is elevator input during a turn actually causing the change in heading?
