First things first, we wanted to thank all of our readers for helping to build Flight Learnings over the past couple of years. We are very appreciative of everybody that has stuck with us throughout all of the redesigns, server failures and other obstacles that have popped up through the life of this project. In working on this project, what we’ve learned though is that its impossible for Flight Learnings to cover every question that future and current pilots may have, so we’ve decided to launch the new Aviation Forum in a larger effort to make Flight Learnings the go-to resource for aviation knowledge.
What are we trying to accomplish?
By leveraging the collective knowledge of all of Flight Learning’s readers, we feel that, over time, we will be able build a community that, together, can cover virtually any question that may arise. From the most basic question about flight school, to the physics of jet propulsion, our goal is to make Flight Learnings the premiere source for aviation information. In addition, and most importantly, we would like to play our part in helping to create a platform, through the Aviation Blog, and the Aviation Forum, to bring aviation enthusiasts from all over the world together in one place to share their knowledge and experience.
How can you help?
Launching an internet forum like the Flight Learnings Aviation Forum is a difficult undertaking. It takes an enormous effort from us, as the developers of the site, but we can’t do it alone, we need the help of our readers. Your help. What can you do? Simple. Go to the Aviation Forum and create an account and help us start the conversation. Post questions, stories, or for that matter, whatever is on your mind. Did you see an interesting aviation related news story? Post a link to it along with your thoughts. Want to know what its like to fly a Mooney? Ask.
In essence, we here at Flight Learnings can only provide the platform and structure. It’s up to you to make it work.
